Founding Pod

The Founding Pod is the ultimate setup for establishing a new ant colony. This innovative system features two standard 16x150mm glass test tubes securely mounted in a spacious out world designed for effortless feeding and maintenance. The 45-degree angled ceiling, with the addition of Fluon coating, creates an escape-proof environment that keeps your queen and workers exactly where they belong. Vibration-damping legs and precision tube connectors minimize stress, while the dark lid maintains the calm, secure atmosphere your new colony needs to flourish. Flexible heating options—compatible with heating cables threaded through the pod or positioned underneath, plus support for heating mats—let you create the perfect temperature conditions for optimal growth and development. When your ants are all ready to move into a formicarium simply remove the cap and insert a 1/4" flexible tube connecting your Founding pod to your new Formica pod.
